Football

Formed in 1988, Chessington FC is a One Star England Accredited Football Club, “leading by example. Raising the bar. Flying the flag for respect and diversity”.
The club’s ethos is to provide a safe and friendly environment for children to develop football skills without the pressure to succeed.

Our ambition is to keep the cost of football to all as low as possible whilst providing a level of service to meet our ethos.

Our community club is run by volunteers all of whom believe in our ethos and that enjoyment in what we all do is paramount.

We actively encourage all our parents to engage in the club and will support those who wish the further their footballing knowledge in taking the various courses run by the Football Association.

In addition to weekly matches, we offer midweek training with our coaching providers, Flair Sports. Training regimes are tailored specifically to each teams needs and ability, all within an agreed core curriculum.

In addition to the league formats we enter our teams in, we also enjoy friendlies against like-minded opposition and enjoy entering our teams into local tournaments.

We are always looking for new players to join us, but prefer prospective players to join in our training sessions to see if what we offer is for them.

Our club house boasts not only good changing facilities (5 changing rooms plus a referees room)  but plenty of opportunity for parents and players alike to socialise. The club bar and kitchen are open most match days - and for those with a later kick-off, an opportunity to watch televised Premier League games after they have played.

We welcome not only our players and parents but as part of our local community, social members are also most welcome.

National Safeguarding Weekend on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st November 2021

We’re backing Play Safe

Chessington Football Club is lending its full support to Play Safe – a national FA-led campaign to raise awareness of the importance of safeguarding in football.

Play Safe is being run in partnership with the NSPCC and has the full backing of the Premier League, EFL, Barclays FA Women’s Super League and the FA Women’s Championship. It’s also supported and being run across every other level of the game.

The main element of Play Safe is a series of short films which emphasise the importance of clubs such as ours having safeguarding as an everyday reality. The films also explain to parents/carers and children themselves know what to do if they feel unsafe or worried, because nothing matters more than making sure football is safe for everyone, especially children and young people.

You’ll see Play Safe appearing at various points throughout the season to keep safeguarding front of mind in football. Together, we want to do everything we can so everyone – particularly children and young people – has a consistently positive experience of our great game.

The U14' team reached the final of the Farnham FC tournament, unfortunately losing on penalties. The team played extremely well and everyone at the club couldn't be prouder of their achievement.
